DialSat network
consists of princal components: infrastructure
at DialSat HQ, infrastructure located in New
York and Paris, and the international network
connecting our system to foreign carriers throughout
the world. In addition to this DialSat is a
leading teleport services provider providing
worldwide solutions over Satellite.
DialSat points
of presence, in New York and in Paris include
state of the art transmission equipment and
Internet protocol, ( ) infrastructure to facilitate
interconnections with global carriers, enabling
DialSat to provide top quality value added services
to its customers.
DialSat network
is based on the latest generation of routers
and switches from Cisco Systems, using MPLS
at the core of its network-based VPN platform.
This evolved from our first-generation network,
which used conventional routing at the core.
DialSat is considered as Cisco Powered Network
(CPN).

Network
Management and Customer Support
DialSat network
is monitored and controlled by a central NMCC
(Network Management Control Center) providing
round the clock network monitoring with high
level of expertise in Network Management methodology.
This achieves 100% monitoring coverage, enabling
DialSat to understand and accurately assess
the availability and performance of all services.
DialSat uses advanced applications, which include
a variety of Configuration Management Tools,
Key Performance (availability, MTTR) Monitoring
Tools, Trouble Ticketing, Concentration of all
alarms from the different platforms –
All WEB based interfaces, easy to access and
use.
DialSat has a
customer-oriented technical support help-desk,
which operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per
year. Each customer has a dedicated person who
is responsible for resolving complex and time
consuming problems in the shortest response
time.
The round-the-clock
Service of technical Support (NMCC) is at your
service and suitable to the cases when the client
determines a problem the first.
Network Management Control Center [NMCC]
The above-stated factors guarantee that DialSat
provides:
1. Round-the-clock control over the network
and operating troubleshooting.
2. The system is fully redundant and fully backed
up.
3. Network Availability, i.e. the ratio of actually
time of providing the DialSat network services
to the monthly fund of time not less than 99
%
4. Services Availability, i.e. the ratio of
actually time of providing the DialSat network
services in a specified connection point to
the monthly fund of time not less than 99%.

DialSat system is designed for maximum performance,
flexibility and quality: toll-quality, full
duplex voice; automatic voice/fax/data channel;
two-way, always on asymmetric routing and
more.
Architecture
A network consists of a central hub, satellite
channels and remote terminals (VSATs).

Remote terminal
consists of a small outdoor antenna (typically
0.55 to 1.2 meters), an Outdoor Unit (ODU) and
an Indoor Unit (IDU). The hub consists of an
RFT and base-band equipment. The base-band includes
a Hub Satellite Processor (HSP), a Hub Voice
Processor (HVP), a Hub Protocol Processor (HPP)
and a Network Management System (NMS). Each
HVP can be connected directly to the PSTN using
a digital E1 line. The HPP is used to interface
with the Internet Service Provider (ISP). The
hub design permits easy scalability and incorporation
of new features.
Network Management
System enables the hub operator to monitor and
control the remote terminals, and to gather
call data records from the sites for billing
operations. Client-server architecture enables
remote NMS capability.
PSTN gateways
(option, currently not included in the network)
are remote terminals that serve a different
function. They establish digital E1 connectivity
with several central offices in various locations.
There are two options available. Satellite gateways,
which utilize satellite channels, and terrestrial
gateways, which carry compressed voice data
over terrestrial leased lines. |
